  • Thank you for your interest in pursuing PATH Intl. CTRI. At this time, we have the capacity to mentor candidates who are already comfortable at walk, trot, and canter on a variety of horses and who meet or are very close to meeting the horsemanship and riding requirements PATH Intl outlines in the Criteria for CTRI.

Typically CATR mentors candidates towards the required 25 hours of supervised teaching for PATH Intl. Instructor Certification within the structure of an instructor internship. The internship usually involves approximately 24 hours of volunteer time to CATR before beginning supervised teaching hours. This requirement can be met by volunteering in therapeutic riding lessons for one 12 week session on a weekly basis.

All instructor interns must pass a background check and complete all volunteer trainings. To complete the 25 mentored teaching hours, it usually is a commitment of at least 100 hours of time and usually takes a candidate 12 – 18 months to complete all requirements, though this is just an estimate!

We ask for an administrative fee of $300.
